Amir Nejat D.D.S.
Dr. Amir H Nejat is Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Science Center School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Department of Prosthodontics, and maintains part-time private practice limited to Prosthodontics. He graduated with a DDS from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad, Iran. He completed his Masters in Biomaterials at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and after completion of this program, he started his residency in Prosthodontics at LSU where he completed his MSD in Prosthodontics. During his residency program, he was able to receive grants from the American College of Prosthodontics Education Foundation (ACPEF), the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP), and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) for his research projects focusing on Zirconia. He has been awarded 1st place in Tylman Research Awards by AAFP and 2nd place in John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition by ACPEF. His research focus is on digital dentistry, dental materials, and their application in the field of prosthodontics. He is also a certified dental technician (CDT) in the field of Implants, Crown & Bridge, and Partial Dentures.
