Prof. Dr. Peter Nieschmidt studied philosophy, teaching and history in Tübingen and Munich and received his doctorate in philosophy in 1965 on Kant’s concept of freedom. Following his doctorate, Prof. Dr. Nieschmidt worked as a research assistant at the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing until 1968.

This was followed by 2 years as a consultant in Central Personnel (ZP) of Siemens AG on basic personnel policy issues (focus on guiding principles for managers). From 1971 to 1973, Prof. Dr. Nieschmidt was scientific director at the Social Sciences Institute of the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) and participated in the founding of the Bundeswehr University in Munich, where he headed the planning group from 1973 to 1975. In 1976, he was appointed Professor of Political Sciences at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Presently, Prof. Dr. Nieschmidt holds high-profile lectures and management seminars in numerous companies, institutions and universities on the topic of employee management.
