Rapid Sintering Technology with Ceramill Therm DRS — Insights into design, development, function and application

Fascinating insights into the development of the new Ceramill Therm DRS and Zolid DRS high-performance system. Sintering, speed sintering and rapid sintering - how it's accomplished and what's the secret? Axel Reichert, Team Leader Materials Development R&D shares insights into the new Ceramill Therm DRS and Zolid DRS furnace system. Background, product development and material results at high-speed limits.

New options with Rapid Sintering
If one wishes to enable users to work quickly and easily, intuitively and comfortably, this is a challenge for development requiring exactly the opposite. One needs to invest considerable time, patience and effort to deliver products of this nature. But the investment pays dividends. The system stretches to the limit - not the customer!

The objective of the innovation project, which was funded by both industry and research, was to open up new possibilities and ways in dental technology to turn time into an advantage for users as well as their patients. The scope of material performance and usability is truly amazing, as is developing their full potential through meticulous tuning. High-performance ceramics certainly earn their reputation - particularly in combination with high-performance sintering and machining systems.

It is impressive to see how fast processes can run and achieve excellent results and then be applied perfectly in everyday laboratory work. Impressions and backgrounds from the design & construction of the Ceramill Therm DRS and the specially matched material Zolid DRS are impressively imparted to the user.
