Richard Zimmermann D.D.S.
Richard Zimmermann, DDS graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 1997 and is currently an Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio in the Comprehensive Dentistry Department. Since 2009, his primary focus has been the clinical integration of digital applications, which started with the acquisition of an SLA printer to create patient-specific models for implant surgeries. He has been involved in patient-specific 3D medical modeling, integration of automated manufacturing into UT Health, bioprinting, and evaluating subtractive manufacturing materials and methods in the clinical environment. Dr. Zimmermann’s current projects include the expansion and futurization of the in-house digital laboratory along with integrating digital workflows within the clinical environments.
